Current program
#GiveWomen.
Did you know that women are more likely to give, but less likely to receive philanthropic funding?
Recent studies show women across most generations are more likely than men to give, yet the 45,000 organizations dedicated to women and girls in the United States received only 1.6% of overall charitable giving in 2016.
Meanwhile, according to the Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity, “women of color across the country are leading justice movements that bring positive lasting impact for all in our communities.”
It’s time to close this gender funding gap and #GiveWomen equitable support
We’ve created this #GiveWomen Guide featuring local organizations focusing on and/or powered by self-identified women and girls. If you plan to give this year, please consider supporting their critical work.
Ready to get started?
Follow us on social media, share our #GiveWomen posts, and support at least one of the highlighted organizations if you can. Thank you for your generosity!
