women's march oakland 2019

How to get involved.

Marchers and volunteers

Ready to march? Want to volunteer before or during the event?

If you're interested specifically in volunteering as a Peace Ambassador, you'll need to be at the event from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and take a Women's March Oakland training in January.

Even if you can't participate, help us spread the word by following Women's March Oakland on social media and telling your friends and family about the march.

Speakers & performers

Want to nominate someone to speak or perform at the march?

The deadline for nominations is October 31, 2018.

Contingents

Interested in bringing a group of 20 or more people to participate in the march?

Marching is free, but donations are always appreciated. If you would like to help support the march, the suggested donation for contingents is $500. Contributions will benefit Women's March Oakland, a nonprofit project of Social Good Fund, and are tax-deductible.

Sponsors

Want to sponsor Women's March Oakland 2019?

Sponsoring the march is the best way to show your organization's support for harnessing the political power of diverse women and their communities in Oakland and the East Bay to create transformative social change. As a local community leader, your support speaks loudly to everyone in Oakland and beyond who will participate.

We have a range of sponsorship levels available. Contributions will benefit Women's March Oakland, a nonprofit project of Social Good Fund, and are tax-deductible.

Organizations

Want to connect with new supporters?

In addition to bringing a contingent, we invite you to participate in our Call to Action Alley at Frank Ogawa Plaza. This is a great opportunity to connect with people interested in learning about and supporting your work. We will provide 1 table, 2 chairs and a shared tent for each organization. The cost of participating in the Call to Action Alley is $300 for food trucks, $150 for vendors, and $100 for nonprofits. Contributions will benefit Women's March Oakland, a nonprofit project of Social Good Fund, and are tax-deductible.

Can you help us spread the word about the march?

We would greatly appreciate your help telling community members about the march. If you're interested in promoting the event on social media / via email, putting up posters, and/or putting out flyers, please email our outreach team at communityoutreach@womensmarchoakland.org.
